Shop Associate (Part-Time)

(NOTE: We are not currently hiring for seasonal/temporary positions—please check back for future opportunities!)

We are looking for team members who are aesthetically-minded and love connecting with customers. Our shop aims inspire our customers to live well through our curation of thoughtfully-designed home and lifestyle products. Our team is passionate about providing our customers exceptional experiences and collaborating with them to create the perfect gift for every occasion.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generating sales by delivering personalized customer experiences
  • Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge in a multi-vendor environment
  • Wrapping gifts to Village Mercantile brand standards
  • Managing daily operational procedures like replenishing inventory, processing and pricing shipments, and keeping the shop clean and organized
  • Opening and closing the shop most shifts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior retail or customer service experience (experience in a specialty boutique setting preferred)
  • Weekend and holiday availability
  • Basic computer skills
