Village Mercantile was established in Larchmont, New York by Vonnie Sullivan in November 2014. After twenty years of working in fashion at industry pillars like Condé Nast Traveler and Vogue, Vonnie turned her focus towards opening her own shop in her longtime community of Westchester County. Vonnie’s aesthetic has been described as “carefully selected,” “practical yet beautiful,” and “thoughtful and artfully chosen,” where the shop has been described as having a “modern/indie Brooklynesque aesthetic” with an “inviting warm glow.” The shop’s second location opened in Rye, New York in April 2025.
